Transitional Living/Dining Space

Location: Plainfield, Illinois

Designer Credits: Jan Bromberek

Project Overview:

This room underwent a complete makeover, starting with the five-inch wood plank, hand-scraped wood flooring accented with the blue quatrefoil rug. Stacked stone and custom tiling was used to create a focal point wall for the television. A wing-backed sofa in a block pattern print paired with a large curved chair in a neutral geometric print compliment the size of each other. The tufted chenille ottoman on acrylic legs floats in this conversation area. A clean-line side chair and ottoman are pattern blocked in a whimsical, neutral animal print and metallic faux leather. The combination of carved leather doors on the entertainment console, stone tops and metal legs of the tables, and the crystal in the lighting create a transitional look for this family/living room combination.
